Nursing assistants work in a variety of health care settings by providing patients with the care they need.

Whether you are looking for a job in a high-demand field or a jumping-off place to a career as a CNA2, medical assistant, registered nurse, or any other variety of health care professions, being a certified nursing assistant can be a fulfilling, life-long vocation or the first step in your health care career.

Information session

Information sessions will provide students with important information related to class structure, financial assistance as well as academic and non-academic requirements. If you are interested in attending an information session, dates are posted below.

Nursing Assistant I (NA1) Application Process

Step 01

Review all information provided on the website before completing the application.

Step 02

Submit your unofficial transcripts or Clackamas Community College (PASS) placement test scores to: healthsciences@clackamas.edu.

  • WRD-098
  • MTH-050 or higher (recommended but not required)
Step 03

Complete the online application form: NA1 Course Application

Step 04

You will hear back on the status of your application after the deadline has passed. Orientation will be held for those who have been conditionally accepted into the course.

Step 03

Applications with close about two months prior to the start of term. You will hear back on the status of your application after the applications have closed.
