Integrated Pest Management

Integrated pest management is a strategy that combines sanitation and cultural, biological and mechanical controls to reduce pest populations. Examples include using pest-resistant plants, maintaining landscapes and spraying. Integrated pest management decides the best course of action for pest control while reducing the environmental and economic impacts.

The college will provide 24-hour notice of planned pesticide applications. The notice will remain in effect for 72 hours post-application, except in cases of emergency.

    Staff will be spraying Speedzone EPA No. 2217-833 on the Oregon City campus' lawns around the Industrial Technology Center, soccer field and the Barlow Hall lot. Re-entry after application is dry.

    Pesticide application planned from June 18-21, 6 a.m.-2 p.m.
    Staff will be spraying Ranger Pro EPA No. 524-579 on the Oregon City campus' weeds and grasses on the athletic fields, curb lines and cut outs along Douglas Loop. Re-entry after application is dry.
