Financial Aid | Scholarships | Scholarships can make the difference Scholarships can make the difference![]() Good news for CCC students. Clackamas Community College will be offering many new scholarships this year thanks to the Miller Foundation’s grant challenge! The James F. and Marion L. Miller Foundation challenged Oregon’s 17 community colleges to raise $1.5 million in new scholarship money over a one-year period, an amount they would match dollar for dollar. CCC met and exceeded their portion of the challenge which will result in more scholarship money for our students. CCC’s piece of the Miller grant challenge pie is $110,000. This amount is in addition to the more than $350,000 the CCC Foundation already raises and awards annually in scholarships. CCC has received 473 student scholarship applications for the 2009-10 school year. The Miller Foundation grant awards will range from $500-$3,000 each. “This award really boosts our ability to help students at a time when money is tight,” says Karen Martini, executive director of the CCC Foundation. “The Miller Foundation has taken a leadership role in supporting Oregon’s community colleges.” 2010-2011 Scholarship Application
