‘The Ballad of Cate Parks’ on Display at CCC Wilsonville

Article by: Janet Paulson

Clackamas Community College Wilsonville Campus will present “The Ballad of Cate Parks,” a mixed-media art show by artist Nina Bradford. The show opens Thursday, Oct. 10, and runs through Dec. 6.

Bradford’s show tells the story of a young woman living in the late 1800s, who falls in love with a sailor. The fictional story was conceived and inspired by the walking paths along Burrard Inlet at Cates Park in Vancouver, B.C.

The series develops into a visual diary of a young woman’s life that shows not only the joy of love and the sorrow of loss, but also the relationships between people, their objects and the world in which they live.

CCC’s Wilsonville campus is located at 29353 SW Town Center Loop East, Wilsonville. For further details, please call 503-594-0950.
