• CCC Transfer Information

    What are your educational goals? Are you interested in being a teacher? Do you want a degree in business? Are you interested in engineering?

    If a four-year degree is your goal, Clackamas Community College is the perfect place to complete your first two years. Pursuing your freshman and sophomore years at CCC will save you thousands of dollars. And the courses and textbooks are substantially the same as you would find at a university.

    Don’t forget to work with an Academic Advisor to make your transfer degree a seamless process.

  • At CCC, we offer several transfer options for you to choose from:

    Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer Degree (AAOT)

    The Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer is a two-year degree that has been designed for the student intending to transfer to a four-year college or university and pursuing upper division baccalaureate courses. CCC students who have earned an AAOT degree will be eligible for junior standing for the purposes of registration at any of the schools currently part of the Oregon University System (OUS). 

    General requirements for obtaining the AAOT from CCC are as follows:

    Associate of Science Oregon Transfer Degree - Business (ASOT-Business)

    The Associate of Science Oregon Transfer - Business degree is a two-year program designed for the student intending to transfer to a four-year college or university within the Oregon University System and is pursuing upper division baccalaureate courses in Business. CCC students who have earned an ASOT Business degree will be eligible for junior standing for the purposes of registration at any of the schools currently part of the Oregon University System (OUS). 

    General requirements for obtaining the ASOT-Business degree from Clackamas Community College are as follows:

    It is strongly recommended that students contact the specific OUS campus' Business school early in the first year of their ASOT-Business program to be advised about additional requirements and procedures for admission consideration to the OUS institution and Business school.

    Associate of General Studies (AGS)

    The Associate of General Studies is a two-year degree designed to provide flexibility and uses a variety of college-level course work to meet degree requirements. Students are encouraged to work closely with an academic advisor if they are planning to transfer to a four-year college or university upon completion of the AGS degree. 

    General requirements for obtaining the AGS from Clackamas Community College are as follows:

    • Earn a minimum of 90 credits of college-level course work
    • Complete related instruction course work from: communication, computation, human relations and physical education/health
    • Establish a cumulative 2.0 GPA at Clackamas Community College
    • Establish residency by earning a minimum of 24 credits at Clackamas Community College
    • Associate of General Studies (AGS) Requirements 

    Satisfy the computer competency requirement by passing CS-090 or achieving a score of 45 or higher on the Computer Placement exam.
