    CCC Student Consumer Information

    The Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 (HEOA) requires that postsecondary institutions participating in federal student aid programs make certain disclosures to students. The following information is disclosed to you as a student at CCC in compliance with federal law. For additional information, including requesting a paper copy of any materials, please call the appropriate office or visit the indicated websites.

  • Academic Programs
    Information concerning CCC’s current educational programs is available in the Porgrams &Certifcates section of this site. The CCC catalog contains course descriptions, a listing of current faculty and physical facility information.
    Accreditation, Approval or Licensure
    Clackamas Community College has been accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). Courses are approved by the Oregon State Board of Education, and lower-division courses are approved for transfer to colleges and universities in the Oregon University System.     Drug/Alcohol Policy

    In compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 (Public Law 100-690, Title V, Subtitle D) and the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act Amendment of 1989 (Public Law 101-226), it shall be the policy of Clackamas Community College to maintain a drug-free campus for all employees and students. It is the responsibility of the College to notify students and staff of College polity. In accordance with this intent, the following policy is in effect:  

    Clackamas is a Drug-Free Campus. The unlawful possession, use or distribution of illicit drugs and alcohol is prohibited on the College campus, in all College facilities, or as part of any College-sponsored activity. Violators of this policy will be prosecuted to the full extent of State and Federal law and, in addition, there are specific consequences for employees and for students which are stated in the College Drug and Alcohol Policy.

    Campus Safety and Crime Statistics (Jeanne Clery Act)

    The Campus Safety department provides security and safety for about 30,000 students, faculty and staff at our three campus locations. 

    Confidentiality of Student Records (FERPA)

    The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords students certain rights with respect to their education records. CCC publishes student rights under FERPA and information on confidentiality of student records, the use of your Social Security Number, release of information, and requesting CCC restrict the release of directory information in the CCC catalog.

    Cost of Attendance
    Information concerning the cost of attendance at CCC is available from the Office of Financial Aid.  
    Financial Aid and Financial Aid Calculator
    The Office of Financial Aid includes information about the following: need-based and non-need-based federal, state, local, private, and institutional financial assistance programs available to students; eligibility requirements and procedures for applying for aid; criteria for selecting recipients and determining amount of award; methods and frequency of disbursements of aid; financial aid terms and conditions, including terms applicable to employment provided as part of a financial aid package; rights and responsibilities of students receiving Title IV, HEA loans; how financial aid is handled when students withdraw; and whom to contact for questions regarding financial aid; the terms and conditions of federal student loans; entrance and exit counseling information; and drug violation penalties.  
    Gainful Employment

    In order to be eligible for funding under the Title IV programs, an educational program must lead to a degree (associate, bachelor's, graduate, or professional) or prepare students for "gainful employment in a recognized occupation." The U.S. Department of Education requires institutions that participate in the student financial assistance programs authorized under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 to report certain information about students who enrolled in Title IV-eligible educational programs that lead to gainful employment in a recognized occupation (GE Programs). Those regulations provide that institutions must also disclose certain information about their GE Programs to prospective students.

    Graduation and Retention Rates (Student Right-to-Know Act)
    Graduation rates for CCC students are available at (link to the At-A-Glance table in the current website, 0200-06). Information concerning retention rates is available at the IPEDS Data Center. 
    Identify Theft Prevention (FTC Red Flags Rule)
    As required by the FTC’s Red Flags Rule, Clackamas Community College has established and will maintain an Identity Theft Prevention Program. 
    Solomon Amendment Disclosure
    The Solomon Amendment requires by law that the college release: student name, address, telephone number, date of birth, educational level, academic major and degrees awarded upon request from recruiters of the branches of the U.S. military. If you request that this information not be released, CCC will not release to military recruiters or other parties except as noted in this publication or upon written permission from you.
