CCC History
"Creating lifetime opportunities for success through responsive education."

Clackamas Community College opened in 1966 with 693 part-time students taking classes at Gladstone High School. Two years later, ground was broken for Clairmont Building on the Oregon City campus – CCC’s first permanent home. With a steady focus on progress and community spirit, the college has grown up quite a bit in the 40 some years since, and is now a network of three unique campuses serving a diverse student body of more than 38,000 students of wide ranging ages, backgrounds and program interests, with over 1,300 classes taught each term.
We have always remained dedicated to personal growth and academic excellence at Clackamas Community College. The CCC experience is about real people achieving real results – students, faculty and staff alike.
